ManagerIQ v3.0

How ManagerIQ works

ManagerIQ looks back at your choices and the points they produced in that Gameweek. It does not predict future returns or replace your FPL points total.

What the score means

Decision Impact = Selection Impact + Captain Impact + Transfer Impact + Chip Impact. It shows the points gained or lost from your decisions and can be positive, zero, or negative. ManagerIQ turns that result into a 0–100 comparison score for the same Gameweek. Neither is your total FPL score.

How ManagerIQ is derived

We compare your Decision Impact with other managers assessed for that same Gameweek and express its position on a 0–100 scale. A higher score means the outcome of your decisions compared more favourably; a lower score means it compared less favourably. Around 50 is the middle of the group, not a pass mark.

Managers with the same Decision Impact receive the same score. ManagerIQ compares this group only; it does not claim to rank every FPL manager.

The four decisions

Selection Impact
Compares the XI that counted for you with the best legal XI you could have fielded from your squad. If your XI was best, or tied for best, this is 0. It does not apply when you use Bench Boost.
Captain Impact
Compares your effective captain — including a vice-captain who takes over — with the best eligible starter in your submitted XI. Choosing a best, or jointly best, option gives a 0.
Transfer Impact
Compares the squad after your moves with the legal alternative available before them, then deducts the FPL transfer cost once. It measures this Gameweek only: no transfer gives a 0, while Wildcard and Free Hit do not have Transfer Impact.
Chip Impact
Compares your chip choice with its best legal alternative. Bench Boost compares all 15 players with the best XI, Triple Captain compares the extra captain score, and Wildcard or Free Hit compares the resulting squad. A chip can help, make no difference, or hurt.

When a score is ready

Before a Gameweek starts, ManagerIQ is not started. It may then be preparing while the result is assembled, live while matches are being played, and finalising after they end. If we cannot show a result, it is marked unavailable rather than treated as a zero.

A live ManagerIQ score can change as FPL updates points, substitutions, captaincy, or bonus. A final result is based on confirmed FPL data. A displayed 0 is a real outcome — such as matching the best alternative or making no transfer — rather than a missing result.

Season results

Avg. ManagerIQ is the rounded average of the comparable weekly scores included so far. Cumulative Decision Impact is separate: it is the total points gained or lost through those decisions.

Gameweeks before an FPL entry existed are not counted. If an applicable Gameweek is unavailable, season coverage is partial rather than treating it as a zero.
